This is a trek amid some of Peru’s most stunning Andes mountain scenery.

This is a quite popular trek over high passes, through some remote valleys and magnificent alpine scenery in the north of the Cordillera Blanca. A visit to the secluded northern side of Nevado Alpamayo is a highlight.

 

ITINERARY:

Day 1 : Lima – Huaraz (3090m).
Day 2 : Acclimatization day.
Day 3 : Acclimatization day.
Day 4 : Huaraz – Hualcayan (2900m).
Day 5 : Hualcayan – Huishcash (3350m).
Day 6 : Huishcash – Ruinapampa (3900m).
Day 7 : Ruinapampa – Jancarurish (4200m).
Day 8 : Rest day or Visit Alpamayo base camp (4500m).
Day 9 : Jancarurish – Huillca (4100m).
Day 10 : Huillca – Jancapampa (3700m).
Day 11 : Jancapampa – Huecrococha (4350m).
Day 12 : Huecrococha – Paria (3780m).
Day 13 : Rest day
Day 14 : Paria – Molino pampa (3600m).
Day 15 : Molino pampa – Avalanche camp (4500m).
Day 16 : Avalanche camp – Punta Yanayacu pass 4800m – Huaraz.
Day 17 : Huaraz – Lima.
